Delivery/Assembly Technician

We have a 45,000 sq. ft. with a large inventory of Better than New office furniture and new office furniture including cubicles, desks, chairs, filing cabinets, conference tables, and other office furniture items. Our used office furniture is Better than New because of the high quality, its’ good condition, and cost savings while our new office furniture is available at discounted retail prices.
Installation Technician
Reports to: Operation Manager or Lead Technician while on deliveries
Performance Reviews: Annually with Quarterly Touch Base
Type of Position: Full-time
Hours per week: 40
Pay per hour: $22.50 along with bonuses and vacation time
Your duties and responsibilities in this position area: 1) Making sure all deliveries are going out prepared, according to Capital Choice Systems or the customer’s expectations, at the time they are scheduled. 2) Safe courteous driving and deliveries. 3) Proper handling of merchandise so that no damage occurs whether it is being delivered or picked up for our inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Check over all deliveries for the In next day and plan your delivery route.
  • Assist with planning an estimated time of arrival and work at each stop so that the customer can be informed of times.
  • Have all customers sign delivery checklists.
  • Notify Operations Manager of any discrepancies with customer’s invoices and their merchandise.
  • Be clean, shaved and in proper uniform. We want all of our customers to have a “wow” experience and the opposite will happen if you are not looking professional.
  • Help in loading and unloading of truck MAKING SURE ALL ITEMS ARE SECURED IN A WAY THAT THERE IS NO DAMAGE IN TRANSIT OR MOVING.
  • Help with preparation and assembly of merchandise for upcoming deliveries.
  • Inspect trucks for maintenance issues.
  • Truck is to be clean & swept out each night.
  • Follow Operations Manager’s instructions with help on store displays or movement of inventories.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and can drive a 26′ box truck.
  • Assemble various types of merchandise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 100lbs+.
  • Ability to use forklift.
  • Able to work in hot & cold environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Must be able to meet short deadlines with ability to work beyond normal office hours, if required.
  • Bank Account for direct deposit.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
